When it comes to modern hair transplant techniques, two main methods stand out: FUE and DHI.

Both procedures are advanced, minimally invasive, and designed to provide permanent and natural-looking hair restoration. However, one question remains common among patients considering hair transplantation:

“Which method delivers the most natural results?”

At Venti Hair Clinic, our highly skilled team specializes in both FUE and DHI hair transplant techniques, performing successful procedures for patients from all around the world.

Since every patient’s hair structure, level of hair loss, and expectations are unique, each operation is carefully personalized to achieve the most natural outcome possible.

How FUE Works?

The FUE hair transplant technique, also known as Follicular Unit Extraction, is one of the most advanced and popular methods in modern hair transplantation in Turkey. It is based on extracting individual grafts and inserting them into tiny micro channels opened in the recipient area to achieve natural and permanent results.

In this procedure, the grafts are carefully taken one by one from the donor area, which usually includes the sides and the back of the head, using micro motors. After extraction, sapphire-tipped tools or fine blades are used to open micro channels in the implantation zone. Each graft is then precisely placed into these channels at the right angle and direction to create a seamless and natural appearance.

The FUE technique has been performed safely for many years and is known as a scar-free and reliable method. It offers excellent results for patients with large balding areas or those with straight to slightly wavy hair types.

The secret to achieving natural hair transplant results lies in the meticulous planning of both the channel direction and the angle of each implanted graft. For this reason, choosing an experienced and trustworthy medical team is one of the most important factors for a successful outcome.

This makes Sapphire FUE one of the most reliable methods for achieving natural and long lasting results.

At Venti Hair Clinic in Istanbul, every FUE procedure is carried out with precision and care to ensure results that look as natural as possible while maintaining the patient’s comfort and confidence throughout the process.

How DHI Works?

The DHI hair transplant method is a modernized approach to hair restoration. Although it shares the same extraction process as the FUE method, the implantation technique is different. In DHI, channel opening and implantation happen simultaneously.

Using a special tool called the Choi Pen, hair follicles are directly implanted into the recipient area. Since this method causes less trauma to the scalp, the healing process is usually faster compared to FUE.

One of the biggest advantages of the DHI technique is that it can be used for patients who do not experience extensive hair loss but have thinning areas. It allows implantation between existing hairs, making it ideal for increasing density. Additionally, DHI can achieve approximately 10 to 15 percent higher density compared to FUE.

In fact, FUE is considered an extraction technique, while DHI is an implantation technique. Therefore, every DHI operation includes the FUE extraction stage. However, when people refer to “FUE” as a general term, they usually mean the method where implantation is done manually with medical forceps after channels are opened.

Because the DHI process takes more time, it is typically used for smaller or medium-sized areas, targeting around 3000 to 4000 grafts. With FUE, larger areas can be covered, reaching up to 6000 or even 7000 grafts in a single session.

For Afro hair types, Sapphire FUE is often a safer option, as improper use of the Choi pen may damage curly graft structures.

Both techniques have their own advantages, and choosing the right one depends on the patient’s hair structure, expectations, and the experience of the medical team.
